Zoran Dobric’s Spring/Summer 2023 collection is inspired by brutalist concrete murals from the 60s and 70s: in particular, the work by the sculptor William Mitchell. The brutalist architectual elements influenced a play on proportion and silhouette, while the rich concrete textures informed the textile treatments. Zoran’s original textile prints feature abstract sculputral collages, geometric multi-coloured artworks, and monochromatic line drawings. Laser-cut gold foil adds shimmering texture. The collection features cottons and silks sustainably printed in Canada. All pieces were ethically and sustainably made in Toronto.
