Zoran Dobric’s Spring 2024 collection titled “Monoprint Monologues” is an auto-ethnographic expression of Zoran’s anxieties and hopes about his recent relocation to New York City. He used the monoprint technique to paint a series of abstract faces ranging in emotion from terrified and deranged to composed and stoic. The scrolling black and white embroidery and hand painted designs reflect waves of strong emotions and tangled thoughts. Undulating and appearing ready to take flight, the pure white dress symbolizes a new beginning and hope.
